Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have been telling fans that a new collaboration is on the way. However, so far they have failed to deliver on this promise. Instead, the album is nowhere to be found. While we did hold some listening sessions, that was about it. There was some sign of hope this week with news that the song “Everybody” will finally be hitting streaming services. Of course, this is the same track sampled by the Backstreet Boys.
Well, fans were skeptical about its release. Ultimately, it turned out that suspicion was well-founded. The song never came out, much to the chagrin of Ye’s remaining fans. However, it’s not all bad, as DJ Pharris played a new song called “Unlock” on Power 92 Radio. That said, based on some fan reactions, the song wasn’t as popular as some had hoped. After all, this is Kanye West we’re talking about here. His musical standards are high, but it doesn’t feel quite up to par. Only time will tell if this is a track that will turn heads. After all, Ye is known to make extensive changes to songs after they’re auditioned. Maybe the rest of the tracklist would be a little stronger.
