For many people, the holidays are not only a time to reunite with family, but also to celebrate family. The same is true for some of the most famous celebrities and musicians, including Yon Miami. “Yeah don’t play with my grandma,” the City Girls rapper captioned the video she shared to her Instagram Story earlier this week. In the clip, as you’d expect, the Miami grandma shows off her dance moves in a Christmas-themed outfit.
Fans commented on the clip and made some jokes in the comments on the repost. “Grandma said I’m going to tell you who started this city girl shit,” the top comment on the post hilariously read. “I just know she was a problem in her heyday” and “The city girl spirit has possessed every woman in their family for six consecutive generations,” read two other comments. This isn’t the first time Miami has shared a video of her family, but it backfired earlier this year. She shared a video of her dad dancing, leaving fans surprisingly eager. This resulted in Miami applauding fans and telling them not to bother her father. But fans hit back again, calling her a hypocrite for dating Diddy, who is old enough to be her father.
Yung Miami also found herself in trouble with fans for another reason related to Diddy. The legendary rap mogul is currently facing a slew of lawsuits filed against him filled with allegations of abuse spanning decades. While he has denied all accusations, it has put many in the rap world in an awkward position. The Miami Heat have been strategically silent on any of the accusations since they first emerged last month.
