Procrastinators, take note. The final round of Grammy voting will end on Thursday (January 4), one week later. The final round of voting began two weeks ago, on December 14.
Voting members of the Recording Academy can now vote on the My Academy Hub mobile app, which members can download from the Apple App Store or Google Play store. Members can set up biometric logic so they don’t have to remember passwords.
The mobile app option is designed to benefit musicians who may be on tour and away from their desktop. The college is working to modernize operations and make voting more accessible. In an email to members, the academy said: “On the go? Start voting from the comfort of home using your desktop, and seamlessly continue voting from where you left off on the mobile app, no matter where you are. Yours Progress is automatically saved, ensuring a worry-free experience even when you’re on the road and pressed for time!”
Members in nearly every location, domestic and international, can download and use the mobile app. The academy notes that the app is currently not available for Chinese members.
The Grammy voting process otherwise remains unchanged. Voting members who have questions or need technical support regarding the app can contact app@recordingacademy.com.
