NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An estimated 45,000 fans are expected to descend on Nissan Stadium this Saturday for the 26th annual TransPerfect Music City Bowl, as the Auburn Tigers take on the Maryland Terrapins Team (Maryland Terrapins).
The game is scheduled for Dec. 29 at 1 p.m., but traffic changes will begin Friday afternoon, according to Metro Nashville Police.
The festivities kicked off with the “Battle of the Bands” on December 28, featuring the Auburn and Maryland Marching Bands.Event starts at 6 p.m. Broadway closes between First and Second Avenues at 5 p.m.

On Saturday morning, Nissan Stadium parking lots will open at 9 a.m. to those with parking permits.
The Metro Police Department will use the same traffic plan at the bowl game as it does for the Tennessee Titans game. The Woodland Street Bridge will be closed to pedestrians and shuttle buses only at 10:30 a.m. Fans driving to Nashville on game day are urged to arrive early and make a parking plan.
Metro officials will be in the city center on Friday and around Nissan Stadium on Saturday. They are asking everyone to be vigilant and to speak up if you see something.
