What is your name? Which city do you represent?
My name is Keemy Coasta…some call me “KC” and some call me “Keem” and I’m from Moss Point, Mississippi, the same city that Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker is from. The same high school “Moss Point High School”
Tell us about your latest releases and what inspired you to create them?
The latest release is his album Heartbreak Kid, which came to fruition after abruptly retiring from the military after five years of service and separating from a toxic relationship, followed by a period of depression and uncertainty that inspired This is the perfect project. The songs on this album address situations that caused pain and resentment during that time frame.

Keemy’s music is shaped by the community in which he lives. Moss Point, Mississippi Despite rumors that his city is one of the most violent on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, Keemy found a way to become a sponsor and overcome the odds. When did you realize you wanted to make music professionally?
KC first started recording, mixing and mastering his own music at the age of 15. Since then he has never stopped recording for many artists in his city and surrounding areas.
What type of music do you listen to?
He listens to trap rap, R&B, blues, country and pop.
What inspires you to make music?
Pain or difficulty is often the source of most songs in Keemy’s catalog.In addition to watching some of his favorite artists thrive in the industry, it inspires him to work and get better, hoping to one day work with them
What do you do when you’re not doing music (creative or otherwise) but something you’re passionate about?
Keemy is a very busy guy and an overall creative genius who gets it done. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music production at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. At the same time, he is enrolled in the barbering program at Beahop State University, graduating in May 2023, and is also the CEO of an outreach team he founded in early 2021, which is very successful in the US coastline. The happiness for you is…
Being able to support his family is the basis of his happiness, and he puts his family first in everything he does. Much of his success stemmed from the idea of removing hardship from his family’s lives.
What do you wish someone had told you when you first started making music that you think would be helpful to artists just starting out?
Present and express yourself in all rooms. No matter how big or small the chances are. Appear! Make an impression and make sure they find you. Last but not least is to maintain relationships with people of equal value.
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
Keemy is developing his third project heading into 2024, which will lyrically reflect his travails from 2021-2023. It will include fully enhanced rhythms and flows, hit beats produced by him and producers who follow him as part of his musical network,
