  • Sidney Sweeney has denied claims she was objectified in the Rolling Stones’ new music video.
  • The 26-year-old actor told Glamor UK that she chose her outfit and “feel good in it.”
  • “I found strength by embracing my body,” the “Euphoria” star said.

Sydney Sweeney has responded to claims she was objectified in the music video for “Angry,” the lead single from The Rolling Stones’ latest album Hackney Diamonds.

In an interview with Glamor UK, Sweeney opened up about her experience filming the video, which sees her rocking in a convertible in a black corset and black leather pants with star-shaped cutouts.

“I feel so hot,” the 26-year-old actor told Glamor UK, adding that she picked her clothes off the clothes rack. “I feel good.”

The Euphoria star went on to explain that “embracing” her body makes her feel empowered.

“It’s sexy and strong, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that,” she said.

Sweeney added that starring in the Rolling Stones video was “cool and iconic” and something she never thought she would do in her career.

“I mean, who else gets to drive down the Sunset Strip in a convertible with a police escort?” she continued.

Sweeney’s comments come after Damon Albarn, the lead singer of British rock band Blur and the musician behind the virtual band Gorillaz, publicly slammed the way she was portrayed in the music video.

When asked about the Rolling Stones’ new album, Albarn told French magazine Les Inrockuptibles: “I listened to their new song and I watched this horrible music video that shows different stages of their lives on billboards. .And this young woman was objectified.”

“What the hell is this? Something’s completely disconnected,” Albarn continued.

Meanwhile, Sweeney said in a separate interview with “Live with Kelly and Mark” that her family is supportive of her appearing in the film.

“I brought my mom and she went to meet them,” the “White Lotus” star said. “I think it’s probably the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my family’s eyes.”
