Ja Morant reignited controversy when he appeared to pull off a gun celebration against the Pelicans. After the dunk, Morant appeared to fire two imaginary guns before running back onto the court. Of course, this drew the ire of many, as Morant was just four games into his season before it was cut short due to a gun-related suspension. The victory over the Pelicans marked the Grizzlies’ fourth consecutive victory and meant the team’s record was 4-0 since Morant returned to the team. Morant scored a game-high 31 points and 7 assists. However, Morant also tied with the Pelicans’ Zion Williamson for a game-high six turnovers.
