The Chagan National Music Group of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region releases its latest album ” distant narrativeOn December 27, the physical album was released, and the digital version was launched on online music platforms.
On the same day, a press conference for the album release co-sponsored by the Khulanguri Propaganda Department and the Culture and Tourism Bureau was held in Beijing’s 798 Art Zone.
Officials, album production staff and band members attended the meeting. The band performed six new songs live.
The music group was founded in 2010 and consists of three members, adopting the Mongolian word Chagan, which means white, a color that represents the source of life.
The group currently has 13 members. They use traditional Mongolian musical instruments such as bows, strings, percussion, and plucked strings to perform folk songs and tell legends passed down by herders.
The new album features Mongolian folk instruments and Khomei, a Mongolian throat singing style. There are 12 songs in total, including 9 folk song adaptations and 3 original works.
