Illinois will showcase its musical heritage in the upcoming Rose Parade, unveiling a float for the second year in a row.
The Rose Parade is also known as the Rose Parade. The New Year’s Day parade through Pasadena, California is 5.5 miles long and lasts two hours.
It starts at 10am Central Time on Monday.
The 2024 theme is “Celebrating the World of Music,” and the Illinois float, “Illinois: The Heart of Rhythm and Blues,” will showcase the musical history of Route 66. This includes a live performance by the a cappella group Straight No. Chaser.

The 24-foot-tall float took three months to build and will contain 30,000 flowers.
