Serving the Nation, Finding His Calling: RSN’L’s Military Chapter

Barsandflows STAFFBy Barsandflows STAFFJuly 25, 20251 Min Read

In 2002, RSN’L charted a new course by enlisting in the U.S. Navy. Stationed aboard the USS John F. Kennedy, he played a critical role as an IT specialist during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The Navy gave him structure, discipline, and a broader perspective on life. It was there that his faith deepened, helping him see God’s work in diverse cultures and challenging environments.

This chapter wasn’t just about service to his country; it was a period of transformation. RSN’L developed leadership skills, resilience, and a sense of purpose that would later fuel his ministry and music. Leaving Chicago’s struggles behind, he discovered that faith and discipline could build a new foundation for his future.
