21 Savage received a Community Impact Award from the City of Atlanta following its fifth year of hosting a Christmas giveaway. Savage accepted the award at a ceremony attended by his manager and mother. The award was presented by State Rep. Billy Mitchell.Every Hip Hop DX, for this year’s event, the Savage Foundation has partnered with the Wade Walker Park Family YCMA to bring some Christmas cheer. Savage was on hand to hand out the gifts.
Despite being born in England, Savage has firmly made himself a part of Atlanta. Before Christmas, there is also “21 Savage Day” on December 21st. The event usually sees Savage perform across the city in recognition of his contribution to music and culture. He recently returned to Atlanta after his first European tour. The tour was made possible because Savage finally received a green card in 2023, allowing him to legally leave the United States.

DaBaby hosts Christmas giveaway in Charlotte
However, Savage isn’t the only rapper showing dedication this holiday season. DaBaby attended his annual Christmas giveaway in style, hanging a Santa hat and joint on the side of his car as people flocked to see the rapper. The annual event takes place in the rapper’s hometown of Charlotte. Additionally, it was held at East Road Church of God. Gifts include bicycles, basketballs and even televisions. “Give back. If you can bless others, give back when you are blessed,” the rapper told local media.
Additionally, he explained in detail why he drives every year. “I always remember my mom. Even when we had less, like when we didn’t have enough, when we were barely making ends meet, when she was barely making ends meet, I always remember her stepping out and us helping Other people. There was one time in my life that my mom didn’t help people. You know what I’m saying?” the rapper told local media during the event.
